1971 FORD MUSTANG MACH I for sale. Motorcar Classics is now offering this fully-restored 1971 Ford Mustang Mach I Sports Roof fastback featured in Grabber Green with Black interior. This is an original North Carolina car that was professionally restored for a Mustang enthusiast. This was a rotisserie restoration starting from a media-blasted body shell with new floors, quarter panels, and front fenders. The engine is a DOAE coded 351 4-bolt main 71 Boss motor that was rebuilt by a NASCAR shop as a 394CI stroker with Crane roller rockers, high flow oil pump, big cam, Carter AFB competition carb, and numerous other high quality updated components. It has a rebuilt top-loader 4-speed with Hurst shifter and an aluminum high performance driveshaft. The 9-bolt rear runs 3:50 positraction with heavy-duty axles and rear disc brakes. The car was built to drive, so a completely new front end was installed including A-frames, spindles, disc brakes, steering box. Heavy-duty shocks and springs. The rear has new leaf springs and bushings. All the rubber components were replaced and there are four NOS 1971 Mustang mag wheels with radial tires. Further components include new 4-pass aluminum radiator, alternator, power steering pump, and HD motor mounts. The engine runs ceramic coated headers with Flowmaster mufflers. The car is fully sorted with hundreds of shakedown miles by the professional who spent 18 months putting the project together. This is a stock-looking very fast road car that you can drive or show with pride.
