1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 for sale. Motorcar Classics is pleased to present this handsome 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 tribute car featured in the factory original color of Sea Mist Green with White stripes and Dark Green bench seat interior. The car is based on an original Sea Mist Green Malibu coupe with a small block V8, Powerglide, 10 bolt rear, power steering, brakes, and AC. It was solid, straight, and rust free. About four years ago it was subject to a complete restoration with a professionally built 454 motor with hydraulic lifters and a fast road cam. The power steering, power brakes and AC remain, but it now has a high performance Hydra-Matic with B&M shifter, and 12-bolt rear. The paint, chrome, interior and undercarriage are all excellent and everything is fresh and fully detailed. The car has a great exhaust note and is quick off the line, yet cruises very nicely down the road. The Torque Thrust wheels are a great period look and we would characterize this car as clearly hotter than stock, but not too hot for cruising pleasure.
