1965 Sunbeam Tiger for sale! Motorcar Classics is proud to present this extraordinary 1965 Sunbeam Tiger MK I featured in Navy Blue with a rare factory matching Navy Blue removable hardtop, black interior, and matching black convertible top. A collaborative effort of Carroll Shelby, Doane Spencer and Jack Brabham, the Tiger, like Shelby's Cobra, is a British-American hybrid. It combines the classic lines of Sunbeam?s Alpine roadster, with proven Ford V8 power. Our Tiger is a Mark I model, powered by Ford's 260CI V8 with performance upgrades and is rated at about 200 HP at 4,400 RPM. It is one of the first 250 Tigers produced. The engine has a Holley 4-Barrel carburetor and it is mated to a 4-speed all-synchro manual gearbox. It has front discs and drum brakes in the rear, Front Independent Wishbone Suspension with Coil Springs, and Rear Suspension with Semi-Elliptical Leaf Springs and Panhard Rod. Our Tiger has the benefit of a complete nut and bolt restoration to the highest standards of authenticity and workmanship. The Tiger is a delight to drive and will bring its new owner great pride whether on a concours lawn or touring event.
