1965 Ford Mustang for sale! Motorcar Classics is proud to present this extraordinary 1965 Ford Mustang Notchback Coupe featured in black with black interior. This Mustang would best be characterized as a restomod, but in contrast to other restomods we have offered, this car was not conceived as a straight-line performance car with the largest possible motor under the hood, but rather it is what I would call a modern-day version of what a Mustang could be, with a fuel injected 5.0L V8, automatic overdrive automatic transmission, power steering, air conditioning, and disc brakes all around. With the exception of handsome black Foose wheels, the car has a largely stock, understated appearance. It is solid in a way that few Mustangs are, and it has luxury touches like the rich high back bucket seats upholstered in vinyl and Alcantara, and illuminated sill plates in the doors. The car was built circa 2013 by an expert in Tennessee at a cost of about $70,000, and there is a thick folder of receipts and paperwork that detail the cost and source of all the components. The car has a thrilling exhaust note and it has been well-sorted to handle and cruise in a way that few other 1965 Mustangs ever could. The build quality is meticulous with an immaculate engine compartment and undercarriage. Look closely at the jewel-like of the instruments, seats, console with cup holders and three-point belts. Everything has been thought through and executed intelligently.

The body received a complete rotisserie restoration with all new bumpers, trim and gaskets. The motor is a custom-built 1992 Ford 5.0L HO with components including Fast EZ-EFI fuel injection, Track Heat EFI intake, MSD Dyna Force starter, MSD Blaster TFI coil, MSD digital ignition control, MSD Pro Billet distributor, and Hedman headers. The gearbox is a 4R44E AOD automatic Lokar AOD Hi-Tech kickdown kit and the rear is a Streetortrack full-floating 9 unit. The car benefits from Ridetech suspension, Streetortrack 13 x 1.25 4-piston aluminum caliper discs all around, and on Francis wiring. Body and interior features include VHS gauges, SPAL power door locks, Custom Autosound Mustang radio with Pioneer amp and speakers, and Classic Auto Air AC system. The handsome Foose Torq-Thrust II wheels are shod with Goodrich 235/45 R17 G-Force Sport Comp tires.

This elegant Mustang coupe could easily be a cool daily driver, or a show car. Many buyers today want the old school look, but with modern performance, reliability, and amenities. This awesome car fills the bill in all respects.
