1970 Dodge Challenger TA for sale. Motorcar Classics is proud to present this beautiful 1970 Dodge Challenger TA, one of the best examples we have seen. The car is featured in Light Green (F4) with matching Light Green interior. The Challenger was introduced as a 1970 model, and the TA was intended as a homologation special to qualify the Challenger for SCCA competition. While many of these cars were used hard and later restored, ours is an original and cherished survivor that has only had a high-quality respray in the original color. Otherwise, the car is as it left the factory. The car was never abused or damaged, the sheetmetal, TA hood and interior are all original. We have the window sticker, broadcast sheet, and fender tag. The engine, transmission and everything else is original and matching. Currently the Challenger is running headers, but the original TA exhaust manifolds are available. The car even has original mufflers! This is a 340 Six-Pack car and one of only 989 factory 4-speed manual cars. Provenance includes the window sticker, a copy of the broadcast sheet, and original fender tags. The indicated mileage of 65k is believed correct. The Challenger appeared in the movie, American Gangster, with Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington. The history file includes a photo of Crowe and the car with the prior owner. This is a highly desirable and investment-grade example of the sought after Challenger TA.
