1957 FORD THUNDERBIRD for sale. Motorcar Classics is proud to present this exceptional D-Code 1957 Ford Thunderbird. This car has received a complete nut-and-bolt restoration and is finished in Dusk Rose with a Colonial White removable porthole hardtop with white interior. The restoration was done in the early 2000s and is meticulously documented with a collection of binders and photo albums showing the restoration and receipts. The car has won numerous prestigious regional and national awards. The trophy collection is included.

The 312-cid, 245-hp Thunderbird Special V-8 engine was an optional upgrade; and the automatic is the transmission of choice. The engines resides in an immaculate bay and the underside is equally orderly. Additional equipment includes power steering and brakes, tonneau cover, Town & Country radio, factory wheel covers and BF Goodrich whitewall tires.

This final year two-seat T-Bird has won many awards including:

Best American Open Car 2004 Greenwich Concours
First Place 2004 AACA Grand National Meet
National First Prize 2003 AACA
First 2003 AACA National Meet, Hershey

Mr. Weinberg had disc brakes installed for safety, which is allowed in competitions, plus the car has new radial tires.  Original books and factory brochures add to the huge amount of documentation and history that come with this car. It has been fastidiously maintained since the restoration and we would consider this vehicle among the best 1957 Thunderbirds.
